Isis Astarte Diana Hecate

key B minor on source tempo ≈76 credited to Deena Metzger / Caitlin Mullin

The Goddess Chant — seven names sung in a ring: Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Inanna. The words are credited to Deena Metzger, the melody to Caitlin Mullin; from women’s ritual circles it passed into the fire-circle and Rainbow repertoires. It is printed in Rainbow AU songs, vol. A, p.5, song #24, with a second entry at p.12, song #49. The melody here follows the singing on a recorded Goddess Chant performance on YouTube.
