Sacred Rainbow Nation Songs of Light, Peace and Love · Core 100
“When god was a little child, she used to play with stones — shakti jay, shakti jay, shakti jay ambe.” A playful hymn to the goddess printed in ten books of the collection. The melody here follows the singing on Colleen Ariel — Shakti Jai.
When god was a little child
She used to play with stones
And lifted them one by one all alone
She took the tears of joy
And let them flow away
Let them flow away every day
Shakti jay, shakti jay, shakti jay ambe
When god felt like a butterfly
She took a rest on a mountain high
Looked around, could nothing but smile
I sing this song for celebration
Thank you god for all creation
Thank you for the fascination
Shakti jay
